ACA 3: Tools, Ethics, and Client Communication
This session focuses on the essential platforms and professional standards agents need to operate effectively in the ACA Marketplace. Participants will learn how to navigate HealthCare.gov, use the Agent Portal, and complete client enrollments through Health Sherpa. We’ll also walk through the official CMS certification process and how to remain compliant year after year. In addition to the technical tools, this session emphasizes the ethical responsibilities of agents, including HIPAA compliance, honest plan presentation, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Practical communication strategies will also be discussed, helping agents explain complex plan details clearly and support clients before, during, and after enrollment.
